FOUNDING FAMILY
Know
YOUR PEOPLE.
Before there were photos in your camera roll, there were photos in shoeboxes. Before there were group chats, there were family reunions. Founding Family helps you preserve the stories, photos, voices, and traditions that made your family what it is today.
Most family stories are never written down.
The stories that shaped your family often live in conversations, photo albums, recipe cards, and memories. Without a place to preserve them, they're at risk of being lost.
Everything that makes
your family yours.

Built By Generations.
We are all shaped by the people who came before us. Their stories, traditions, sacrifices, and experiences live through us, whether we know them or not.
Founding Family helps you capture and organize the moments that matter so future generations can understand where they come from and who helped shape them.
From the Founder
I built this because I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories. But more than that, I realized I wasn’t capturing my own.
Life moves fast. We move fast. And somewhere in between, stories slip through. Not because they don’t matter, but because we assume we’ll always have time.
The truth is, the moments we have are precious. The conversations. The memories. The small details that make our families who they are.
We should be talking more. Listening more. Asking questions. Paying attention—especially to our elders, and teaching our children why it matters.
Because knowing where you come from isn’t optional. It’s everything.

Stories Shared by Our Community
-
A Place for Every Story
We’ve been scanning photos for years but never had a real home for them. Founding Family finally gave us a place where our stories live together — my kids can hear my grandmother’s voice and see her handwriting in one space.
— Denise W., Atlanta, GA
-
Reconnecting the Roots
I invited my cousins to contribute and within a week we uncovered photos we didn’t even know existed. It made us feel closer, even living in different states.
— The Johnson Family, Houston, TX -
Healing Through Memory
My dad passed before I could ask him everything I wanted to know. Building our family archive helped me piece together our history and share it with my son. It’s more than a project — it’s a gift.
